Meet Robert T. Crotty, OD
Dr. Robert Crotty, a native of Alexandria, Louisiana, brings decades of experience and dedication to the field of optometry. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, after completing his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and Alexandria.
In 1985, Dr. Crotty returned to his hometown to begin practicing optometry alongside his grandfather, Dr. Lacy G. Bordelon, and ophthalmologist Dr. James W. Welch. His passion for advancing eye care led him to join Wallace Eye Associates in 1991, where he currently serves as Clinical Director.
Throughout his career, Dr. Crotty has contributed to the field through co-authored publications and clinical research, serving as a co-investigator on several studies involving multifocal intraocular lenses. He has also lectured nationally on topics such as dry eye disease, glaucoma, intraocular lens technology, and cataract surgery planning.
